Embark on a journey of intergalactic proportions that will engage all your senses when Cahoots’ Secrets of Space comes to Walton Arts Center Tuesday, March 10 at 6 pm. It’s an out of this world experience for families for just $10.
Launch into the wonders of the galaxy with Suni and Mae, who dream of journeying far beyond our solar system, singing among the stars and discovering all that was unknown to them. This is the perfect performance for curious minds ready for lift-off. Suitable for ages 7 and older.
Secrets of Space is a creative and interactive show that takes audiences on a journey to space in dazzling detail while unpacking key ideas in science, technology, engineering and math through special effects, original music, live vocals, magical illusions and state of the art digital media.
Preshow you can explore the stars in Starr Theater with the SPACE Hogs traveling planetarium that features a tour of the solar system and constellations of the northern hemisphere. Then visit the NWA Space and Science Center’s table where you can learn more about plans for a science center and planetarium in NWA and how you can show your support.
After the show, hang around and experience the galaxy for yourself with telescope stations set up for all explorers by the NWA Space and Science Center on Tyson Plaza.
Director, Paul Bosco Mc Eneaney says, “We are delighted to share this much-loved piece of work with young audiences across North America once again. The show has been developed with the help of leading space scientists and the amazing facts about Earth, stars, planets and other celestial objects that they shared with us inspired this show. The show features two captivating characters who share their love for all things science and space, inspiring our audiences – young, old and those in-between!”
Secrets of Space features key curriculum connections for an elementary school audience, brought to you by Cahoots NI, a Belfast-based theatre company producing boldly innovative work for children and their families. Their distinctive style combines magic and illusion, physical theatre and original music.
