Main Street Fort Smith and the Fort Smith Downtown Business Association are inviting artists, artisans, makers, musicians, performers, and downtown businesses to participate in the inaugural Garrison Arts Walk, scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in downtown Fort Smith.
The free community event will transform downtown into a walkable arts experience, connecting visitors with local and regional creatives at locations throughout the district. Participating artists will be featured inside downtown businesses and in select public spaces, allowing attendees to explore downtown while discovering original artwork, handmade goods, live demonstrations, music, and performances.
A free digital map will guide visitors to participating locations, creating opportunities for artists to showcase and sell their work while introducing attendees to downtown businesses and destinations.
“We’re excited to create a new opportunity for artists and businesses to connect with the community,” said Amanda Hager, Executive Director of Main Street Fort Smith. “The Garrison Arts Walk will celebrate creativity while encouraging people to explore downtown, support local businesses, and engage with the talented artists and makers who help make our region unique.”
Organizers are currently seeking:
• Artists, artisans, and makers interested in displaying and selling their work
• Musicians and performers interested in providing live entertainment
• Downtown businesses willing to host artists or serve as event locations
• Volunteers interested in assisting with event operations
Participation is open to both emerging and established artists, as well as creatives working in a variety of mediums, including fine art, photography, pottery, jewelry, fiber arts, woodworking, and other handmade goods.
