Getting a flu shot is the best way to protect yourself and your family.
Baptist Health Family Clinic-Greenwood will provide free flu shots for community members ages 12 and up Friday, Oct. 4, from 7 a.m to 9 a.m. and Saturday, Oct. 5, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Weather-permitting, the free flu shot clinic will take place in the clinic’s parking lot and will be a drive-thru.
The vaccination event is made possible thanks to a grant from the American Electric Power Foundation (AEP Foundation) at the recommendation of Southwestern Electric Power Co. (SWEPCO).
Vaccination against the flu is particularly important for people who are at high risk for serious complications, including:
- Young children
- Pregnant women
- People with chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease and lung disease
- People 65 years and older
- People who live with or care for anyone at high risk for serious flu complications
