Experience the magic of Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical, at Walton Arts Center, Nov. 12-17 with eight performances and rediscover the magic of the holiday season.
Walton Arts Center is excited to partner with KNWA for their annual Magical Christmas Toy Drive benefiting the Salvation Army. Toys collected during this drive will be used to help fulfill Angel Tree requests, making sure that each child registered in the program receives a gift during the holidays.
Bring a new toy when you come to Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical Nov. 12-17, or the opening weekend of Winter Nights, Nov. 14-16, and get a coupon for a free Shake’s hot chocolate, redeemable at concessions or Winter Nights.
Collection bins will be in Walton Arts Center’s lobby and in Winter Nights. Doors open 60 minutes before the show begins.
Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical broke box office records for two consecutive years on Broadway during its holiday engagements at the St. James and Hilton theaters in New York. Since then, more than 2.5 million theatergoers across America have been delighted by this heart-warming holiday musical, which Gannett hailed as “A genius of a show! A total delight for both kids and adults.”
Featuring hit songs “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas,” The Grinch discovers there’s more to Christmas than he bargained for in this heart-warming holiday classic. Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is “two sizes too small,” decides to steal Christmas away from the holiday-loving Whos.
Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical features magnificent sets designed by John Lee Beatty and costumes designed by Robert Morgan, inspired by Dr. Seuss’ original book. Mel Marvin and Timothy Mason’s music and book breathe new life into this timeless story.
The 2024 production is directed by Matt August and choreographed by Bob Richard, based on the original choreography by John DeLuca and originally created by three-time Tony Award®-winning director, Jack O’Brien.

Winter Nights will open Nov. 14 – Dec. 21 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, so be sure to drop by before or after the show or during intermission. This festive, family-friendly holiday bar and gathering space open 6 pm-midnight offers indoor and outdoor seating options surrounded by twinkly holiday décor to get you into the spirit of the season.
Reserve a snow globe before they sell out or walk-ins are always welcome. There are fire pits for roasting and toasting outside, and inside Joy Pratt Markham Gallery is additional seating and festive space for gathering. Watch for a schedule of family-fun activities each night 6-8 pm and activities catering to our adult crowd from 8-11 pm.
