The Fort Smith Chorale’s Christmas Concert for 2023 and our Spring Concert for 2024 are scheduled! Their singers are already working hard on our upcoming Christmas Concert scheduled for November 30, 2023, at First United Methodist Church at 7:00. The Spring Concert scheduled for April 18, 2024.

Join us for “Carols by Candlelight” presented by the Fort Smith Chorale. Have you ever played the game “name that tune”? This concert will make you a winner. Most if not all our selections will be very familiar and help you begin your Christmas season. The First Noel and Angels from the Realms of Glory arranged by Dan Forrest, O Magnum Mysterium by Morten Lauridsen, and the energetic setting of the Somerset Wassail by Richard Felciano. Then the Robert Shaw settings of O Come Emmanuel, Fum Fum Fum, Good King Wenceslas and the Holly and the Ivy and of course Silent Night and Carol of the Bells and more. We hope to see you on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at First United Methodist Church at 7:30pm.
Our spring concert “Kings, Queens and Gypsies” is scheduled for April 18, 2024. This concert is going to be bold, different, and exciting. We will feature the following: Festival Te Deum by Benjamin Britten, Song of Peace by Vincent Persichetti, and Dirait-on by Morten Lauridsen. Handel’s Coronation Anthem No. 1, Zadok the Priest will also be featured. This was one of the selections used in the coronation ceremony for Queen Elizabeth and again g=for King Charles. We the Chorale will change personality’s completely as they perform Brahm’s Gypsy Songs, Ziegeunerlieder. This is a set of 11 very energetic and fun melodies with an amazing piano accompaniment.
