Fort Smith Chorale Announces Spring Concert

The Fort Smith Chorale’s Spring Concert is coming soon! The spring concert “Earth and Sky” will feature two new compositions for the Chorale. Across the Vast Eternal Sky (by Ola Gjeilo) for choir, piano, and string quartet, is mysterious and flowing like the soundtrack of a romantic movie. I thank you God for this most Amazing Day (by Dan Forrest) is a setting of E.E. Cummings poetry featuring string quintet, piano and percussion. This selection passes from ethereal, to dramatic, to peaceful in mood and character. Saints Bound for Heaven, The Heavens are Telling and Ride On King Jesus will provide variety and energy to the evening. They look forward to sharing the very dramatic, The Awakening (by Gilbert Martin) and the well-beloved Alleluia (by Randall Thompson).
