Main Street Fort Smith Hosts Invest Fort Smith Econ. Dev. Summit

A summit focused on economic growth opportunities in downtown Fort Smith is returning to the River Valley. The one-day conference will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024 at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith Center for Economic Development located at The Bakery District, 70 S 7th St.

Sessions available to participants include:

● Lunch and Learn focused on social media marketing tips and tricks

● Business plan presentations from local UAFS students participating in the Arkansas Governor’s Cup

● Panel discussions focused on procurement opportunities and ways businesses can prepare for expected regional growth in 2025 and beyond

● Presentations to learn how to integrate artificial intelligence into business marketing and operations

Attendees will also have the option to book an appointment for a professional headshot for only $25 before the event.

This will be the sixth year for the event organized by the nonprofit Main Street Fort Smith, formerly known as 64.6 Downtown. “There is plenty of opportunity for growth in downtown Fort Smith,” said Amanda Hager, executive director of Main Street Fort Smith. “We want to encourage the next wave of entrepreneurs and connect them with the resources they need to reach their business goals. If you’ve been thinking about starting a business, this is your sign to do it.”
