Mayor McGill Visits UAFS Students

The University of Arkansas – Fort Smith is set to host “Focus on the Future: A Heart-to-Heart Conversation” with Mayor George McGill and local students, offering a platform for open dialogue about the city’s future.

The event will take place Thursday, October 19, 2023, at  a.m. in the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center Reynolds Room.

Mayor George McGill, alongside UAFS and local high school students, will discuss various topics, including the city’s appeal to college students, reasons to stay in Fort Smith post-graduation, students’ expectations from the city government, ways to enhance the city’s allure to the younger generation, and methods to stay engaged and contribute to the city’s betterment.
