Mercy Celebrates New Primary Care Locations
Mercy adds three clinics inside Walmart Supercenters in Arkansas
Arkansas residents have three new options for their health care needs. This week, Mercy expanded its primary care locations to include a new clinic in Fort Smith and two new clinics in Northwest Arkansas, all inside Walmart Supercenters.
The locations include:
- Mercy Clinic Primary Care – Fort Smith Kelley Highway, 2100 N. 62nd St., Suite A.
- Mercy Clinic Primary Care – Rogers W. Walnut, 2110 W. Walnut, Suite 100.
-
Mercy Clinic Primary Care – Springdale Elm Springs Road, 4870 Elm Springs Road.
Mercy celebrated the clinic openings with a pair of blessings and ribbon cuttings. On Nov. 4, Mercy and community leaders marked the opening of the new Northwest Arkansas clinics, while Fort Smith leaders gathered Nov. 5 to open that new location.
“Opening clinics within Walmart stores allows us to meet our patients right where they are, bringing convenient, high-quality care into the heart of the communities we serve,” said Dr. Lance Faddis, regional physician executive of primary care for Mercy Arkansas Communities. “These new locations in Fort Smith, Springdale and Rogers reflect our commitment to making health care more accessible and to supporting the well-being of Arkansas families by providing care in the places they already visit frequently.”
Dr. Paul Nguyen and nurse practitioner Daniel Maechler will provide care at the Fort Smith clinic. Northwest Arkansas patients will be seen by Dr. Kristy Jones in Rogers and nurse practitioner Jacob Adkison in Springdale, with additional providers to join the new locations at a later date. Each location size ranges from 5,200-6,400 square feet, with space to expand services in the near future.
The new Mercy clinics offer primary care – not urgent care – with appointments and walk-in availability during regular hours. Services include:
-
Primary care for all ages.
-
Medicare annual wellness visits.
-
Sports physicals.
-
Vaccines and immunizations.
-
Health screenings and exams.
-
Preventative care and more.
Hours for the Northwest Arkansas locations are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, while Fort Smith hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. The clinics are located inside space formerly occupied by Walmart Health centers. Walmart is not involved in the provision or oversight of care with the new clinics.
