Mint to Be Peppermint Bark
INGREDIENTS
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
16 ounces white chocolate chips
½ teaspoon peppermint extract, more or less to taste
¾ cup candy canes, crushed
METHOD
Cover a baking sheet with wax paper, set aside. Microwave semisweet chocolate chips in a medium bowl in thirty second increments until melted. Stir until smooth. Spread chocolate onto parchment paper then place in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes until set.
Microwave white chocolate chips in a medium bowl in thirty second increments until melted. Add peppermint extract and stir until smooth and combined.
Spread melted white chocolate over the hardened semisweet chocolate layer. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the top with crushed candy canes. Place in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to set. Remove and break chocolate into pieces. Serve or place in tins for gifting.
