Wooden Photo Display
Display your memories for all to see on an oversized wooden letter. I chose the letter F to represent our last name. This would make a great gift for any occasion, an addition to your home décor, or hanging on the wall in a college dorm room!
MATERIALS
- Wooden letter
- 20 – 25 photos (photo paper or printer paper – color or black/white)
- Mod Podge®
- Foam brush
- Paint (I used flat black spray paint)
- Mod Podge® clear acrylic sealer
- Scissors
- Coarse nail file
METHOD
Paint the top and all sides of wooden letter. Allow to dry. Arrange photos on top of wooden letter before cutting and applying Mod Podge®. Once photos are placed where you want them, start cutting the images down to a workable size. When you have all photos in place, gently pick them up, apply a thin coat of Mod Podge® to the surface of the wood, and press photo into place – keep in mind you may want to overlap photos, so apply Mod Podge® sparingly until all photos are in their final location. Once dry, turn letter over, and trim any overhang with an X-Acto® knife. Using a nail file, gently file all edges of the letter, where the photo meets the edge of the wood, giving all photo edges a slight distressed look. Touch up with black Sharpie® if needed. Spray entire piece with a coating of clear acrylic sealer.
