The Babb Center for Career Services at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith will host a grand re-opening of its Career Clothing Closet on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 11:30 a.m. in its new location in Flanders 110.

The re-opening celebration will be a drop-in event beginning at 11:30 a.m., with refreshments, as well as a chance for students to win door prizes.
During the event, the center will also unveil the newly chosen name for the clothing closet, selected by UAFS students.

“We are thrilled to start fresh with this free resource for students,” said Susan Krafft, Executive Director of the Babb Center for Career Services. “The Career Clothing Closet provides professional attire for interviews, internships, job opportunities, and networking events—all at no cost to students. The best part? The clothes are theirs to keep.”

The Babb Center also expressed gratitude to JC Penney, which donated essential items such as clothing racks, hangers, and mannequins to help revamp the space. Appreciation was also extended to UAFS faculty and staff for their generous clothing donations over the summer, and to marketing intern Natalie Chuong for leading the re-stocking and organization efforts.
