Blistered shishito peppers are amazingly delicious and not too spicy! Give them a try alongside our avocado crema to take these tasty treats over the top!
INGREDIENTS
Shishito Peppers
• shishito peppers
• 2 teaspoons olive oil
• lemon, sliced (optional)
• sea salt
• sesame seeds (optional)
Avocado Crema
• . teaspoon sea salt
• 1 avocado
• 3 Tablespoons Greek yogurt
• . Tablespoon fresh lime juice
• . Tablespoon chili powder
METHOD
For the crema, blend yogurt, avocado, lime juice, sea salt, and chili powder until smooth. Add olive oil to skillet over medium-high heat. Arrange peppers in single layer with a slice of lemon. Cook until the skins begin to blacken – about 2 minutes. Turn peppers, cook 2 minutes more. Remove peppers, place on paper towels. Sprinkle with sea salt, serve. Sprinkle with sea salt and sesame seeds (optional), serve.
